  • Etiquette

There is no arguing that proper etiquette of handling portable gadgets should be observed. Since the users tend to be youngsters, educating them first before giving any of these gadgets as a gift or for practical use should be prioritized. When in the Church or any places of worship it is imperative to turn the mobile phone into silent mode. This is the same when watching a film in cinemas or other public gatherings where people might get uncomfortable or distracted because of a sound generated from a mobile phone or an iPod. Still, another major subject is the safety/danger posed by using wireless gadgets when boarding an aircraft. Stewards always stress the importance of turning off the passenger’s cellphone, what particular time it is all right to use it again and when is the safest time to use laptops, palmtops and MP3’s during a flight.

Social contacts and interactions of children could also be greatly affected by self-serving wireless devices. However, social etiquette on mobile phone use can also be viewed as a disciplining factor for children and adults alike. Local regulations could eventually teach them right how to behave on occasions and locations that calls enough respect not to use inappropriately, portable electronic devices.***
